Capitally is a web application, but it can be installed and used as any other app on both desktop and mobile devices.
This way, you will be able to add it to your dock and desktop, utilize the full screen estate and use Capitally even without internet connection.
Capitally can be installed on Chrome, Edge, Brave, and other chromium-based browsers. Here's how:
Navigate to app.mycapitally.com on Chrome, Edge, Brave, and other chromium-based browser.
Look for an install button on the right side of the location bar and click it.
Done! Look for it in your dock and Applications folder.
To make Capitally work offline, you need to open the application at least once. This will allow it to download all necessary assets and data.
You can add Capitally to your home screen on your iOS device. Here's how:
Navigate to app.mycapitally.com on Safari or Chrome.
Open the sharing menu.
Choose the "Add to Home Screen" option.
You will be asked to confirm the shortcut title.
Once confirmed, Capitally will be added to one of your home screens, from where you can use it as any other app.
Please note that if you were logged into your account on your browser, you will need to log in again as the installed app has separate data storage (which is an additional layer of security!).
Installing Capitally on your Android device is straightforward. Here's how:
Navigate to app.mycapitally.com on Chrome.
The browser will prompt you to install the app on your fist visit.
If not, you can install it from the context menu (look for "Install App" or similar).
You will be asked to confirm the shortcut title.
Once confirmed, Capitally will be added to one of your home screens, from where you can use it as any other app.
Please note that if you were logged into your account on your browser, you will need to log in again as the installed app has separate data storage (which is an additional layer of security!).
To uninstall Capitally, simply remove the icon from your dock, home screen or apps folder.
